    To The Jew First

To The Jews First... and also to the Greek (Gentiles).

(Book of Romans chapter 1, and verse 16, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek")

True Christians, "Bible Believing Christians, love not only the God from the Old Testament" Elohim, Addonai; but also His Word, His promises, His commandments, and His chosen People -The People of Israel!

The greatest of all the commandments as it reads in Deuteronomy 6: 4, and 5: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thine soul, and with all thine might." And Love thy neighbor as thyself."

We love the Jews; we have defended them, and we are very grateful and thankful to them for keeping the oracles of God - The Old Testament. The New Testament commands us, by the Holy Spirit, that we Christians should bring the Good News of Salvation "to the Jew first..." And that is what we are doing.

We, the TRUE Christians, believe that the whole Bible is the authentic, and the very inspired Word of God. We honor, believe, and preach the Old Testament as it is written in the Hebrew language "The Massoretic Text." We also believe, honor and preach the New Testament as the fulfillment of the promises and prophesies of God written in the Old Testament; as it is the result of the power and the Excellency of God continuing being manifested by Jesus, the Apostles, and the churches established by their teachings.

We believe, and are able to proof without any error, misinterpretation, guile, or any wicked humanistic idea, nor any wrong motive, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ written in the New Testament is the fitting complement of the Old Testament.

About 85% of God's prophesies, written by the prophets of God in the Old Testament, were fulfilled already in the New Testament in the person of Jesus; the other 15% will be fulfilled from the time of His second coming, and later. This treaty, or study from the books of Matthew, one of Jesus' apostles, and the book of Romans, written by Saul of Tarsus -Paul, will serve us as an introduction as the well-built bridge of the ages between the Old and New Testaments.

May God bless you as you meditate,

    Shalom!

How important is the genealogy of a Jew?... Please consider the following study; having one thing in mind, and in heart - TRUE Christians love Jews, but God loves you more... and FOREVER!

    THE THIRTY YEARS OF PREPARATION

Remember, NOT all things are recorded.  (John 30:31)

    I. THE  GENEALOGY  OF  CHRIST.

    A. THE PURPOSE OF THE GENEALOGY.

    1. Why do we have or need the Genealogy of Christ? It is God's way of establishing the Legal & Human Rights & Privileges of His Son to the Throne of David. (2 Sam. 7:16;  Luke 1:32;  Eze. 1:10;  Isa. 9:6-7) Matthew & Luke have Genealogies. Mark & John have no Genealogies.

    2. Why do two Gospels have a Genealogy and two do not?

    a. MATTHEW – (Lion of Tribe of Judah)  As King, His Genealogy shows He is rightful heir to the throne.

    b. MARK – (Servant of Jehovah) As Servant He doesn't need a genealogy  (Who would require a servant to have a pedigree?)

    c. LUKE – (Son of Man) As the Perfect & Representative Man He must have an unbroken Genealogy to establish His right to represent all men.

    d. JOHN – (Son of God)(Deity) As God's Son, He doesn’t need a Genealogy  (Isa. 9:6-7) Child born (Humanity),  Son given (Deity).   (Rom. 11:33-36  &  John 1:1)

    B. THE POSITION OF THE GENEALOGIES.

    1. MATTHEW'S  GENEALOGY  (Matt. 1:1-17) The book of the Generation of Jesus Christ. (Gen. 5:1) The First Adam ––– Last Adam.  (John 1:1)

    a. Known as the Legal Genealogy of Christ.

    b. Ancestry of Joseph, the Husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born  (1:16).

    c. Contains 42 Generations in three groups of 14 each:
    (1) First Group begins with Abraham, ends with David. (Matt. 1:2-6)
    (2) Second Group begins with Solomon and ends with Jechonias. (Jehoachin, Coniah: all three are the same person)(I Chron. 3;  2 Chron. 36;  Matt. 1:7-11)
    (3) Third Group begins with Salathiel, and ends with Christ. (Matt. 1:12-16)

    d. The FOUR WOMEN mentioned in Matthew's Genealogy.
    (1) THAMAR  (v.  3) An Amorite. A Lesson on the Fact of Sin.
    (2) RAHAB  (v. 5) A Canaanite  (Joshua) A Lesson on Faith.
    (3) RUTH (v. 5) A Moabite (Book of Ruth) A Lesson on Righteousness &  Character.
    (4) BATHSHEBA  (v. 6) A Hittite  (2 Sam. 11) A Lesson on Grace.

NOTE: All of these women mentioned in the genealogy are Gentiles; three of the four women were adulteresses.    e. Matthew uses the word "begat" until he comes to the end of v. 16.  There he   does not use the word "begat"  referring to Jesus.

    2. LUKE'S  GENEALOGY    (Luke 3:23-38).

    a. Known as the real or natural genealogy of Christ. Proof of His human right to rule upon the throne of David.
    b. It is the ancestry through Mary.
    c. It begins with Jesus and goes back to Adam, "the son of God."
    d. Luke uses the words "the Son of" instead of the word "begat."

    C. THE PROBLEMS OF THE GENEALOGIES.

    1. The immediate family of Joseph.
    2. The Law of Inheritance. (Num. 27:1-11)
    a. Not heard of before this. Mentioned at this time for Christ's preparation. The daughters could receive an inheritance.
    b. If a father hath no son, then the inheritance passes to the daughter.

    1. MATTHEW'S GENEALOGY (Matt. 1)

Matthew's genealogy starts with Abraham and omits some names because of sin in that line. We follow the line beginning with Abraham through David, Solomon, and Rehoboam. Under Rehoboam the nation was divided into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. Farther down the line we come to Jehoiakim, and Jehoiakin (his son) (Jer. 22:24-30 and 36:30), and all their descendants or sons could not sit on the throne, though they had the Legal Right to the throne.
Joseph was a son of David. That is what the angel called him (Matt. 1:20). He had the Legal Right to the throne of David, because he was a descendant of Jeconiah. All of Jeconiah's sons had the Right to the Throne, but none of them could ever sit on that throne as King because of God's promise. Therefore, Joseph's son could not occupy the throne, but Jesus was not the actual Son of Joseph, though He was the Legal Son of Joseph. Jesus was born in the household of Joseph and thereby became the Legal Son of Joseph, inheriting all of his privileges without the curse of Jeconiah.

    2. LUKE'S GENEALOGY (Luke 3)

Luke's genealogy begins with Jesus and goes all the way back to Adam which was the Son of God. Luke's genealogy corresponds with Matthew's genealogy from Abraham to David. From David through Nathan (Elder brother and righful heir to David's throne, I Chron. 3:5; 2 Sam. 5:14. Also, Nathan and Solomon had the same mother, Bathsheba. Nathan was outside the Reigning Kings of Judah.) The line is traced down through Heli to Joseph (Son-in- Law to Heli, Mary's father). Joseph had the Legal Title to the throne, but he could not use it. Through Mary's line Jesus had an unbroken lineage from Adam, "which was the Son of God."
Therefore, Jesus was both the Legal Son of David through Solomon and the Literal Son of David through Nathan. Jesus had a Father in Heaven Who "begat" Him and a Legal Father on Earth. He had all the rights of the First–Born. No other son of Joseph could have met these requirements and rule, but Jesus had the rights legally through Joseph and through Mary He had the right and could rule because he was not of the seed of Jeconiah. He was the only person in the whole universe of God to whom the throne could rightfully come and He proved it by His resurrection from the dead (Rom. 1:4). The working out of these two genealogies is one of the most wonderful things in the Bible.

    THE BRANCH OF THE LORD

Matthew is the Gospel of the “Branch of David” KING of the JEWS

    (Jer. 23:5) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (Isa. 11:1; Jer. 33:15) (Rom. 1:3) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Mark --- “My servant the BRANCH SERVANT" of Jehovah

(Zech. 3:8) Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
    1. Humiliation.
    2. Obedience.
    3. Sacrifice.
(Isa. 52:13-15) Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. 14 As many were astonished at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: 15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
    (Isa. 53:1-12)
(Phil. 2:5-8) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Luke --- “The man whose name is the BRANCH.” Son of MAN

(Zech. 6:12-13) And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: 13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
(Son of Man --- 93 times in Ezekiel)
(Luke 19:10) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

John --- “The branch of the LORD.” The Son of GOD -- Diety

(Isa. 4:2) In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
The Branch of Jehovah is IMMANUEL! (Isa. 7:14)

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
